diagnosis and treatment of infertility, first/second/third generation IVF (including
egg/sperm donation), microsperm retrieval, embryo freezing and resuscitation, artificial
insemination (including husband's sperm and sperm donation), paternity testing, chromosomal
disease
diagnosis, high-throughput gene sequencing, endometrial receptivity gene testing and other
clinical
technology applications. Many of these technologies are at the leading level both domestically
and
internationally.
Determine how long it will take based on different triggers, ranging from 19-21 days to 2 months, or further extended due to personal needs. But it does not include pre induction assessment and various examinations, so I suggest preparing psychologically for the period of 3 months to 6 months.
(1) Preparation before IVF treatment
Make an appointment for outpatient treatment, discuss and arrange IVF treatment. (For example, conducting AMH value testing and related infertility examinations)
Both husband and wife are preparing blood test reports for HIV and syphilis within six months. (Can also be arranged during the course of treatment)
(2) Start IVF treatment: ovulation induction&follow-up examination
On the 2nd to 3rd day of menstruation, vaginal ultrasound examination is performed to check for basal follicles, and blood tests are taken to check for hormones (FSH, LH, E2, P4).
Start using ovulation inducing drugs (oral ovulation drugs, ovulation needles) according to the doctor's instructions to induce ovulation.
(3) Follicle tracking
Starting from the 6th day of menstruation, blood tests should be taken every 3-4 days to track hormone levels (LH, E2, P4) and evaluate follicle growth through transvaginal ultrasound.
During the treatment period, medication will be continuously adjusted based on follicular and hormonal conditions.
Starting from the use of ovulation medication, egg retrieval surgery will be performed around the 14th day.
During the treatment period, an anesthesia evaluation will be arranged to ensure that general anesthesia is administered on the day of egg retrieval (local anesthesia can be omitted).
(4) Egg retrieval surgery
Apply the egg breaking needle 2 nights before egg retrieval (please apply according to the prescribed time).
For those undergoing general anesthesia for egg retrieval, fasting and water deprivation should be avoided for at least 8 hours before egg retrieval (local anesthesia can be omitted).
On the day of egg retrieval, the husband needs to submit a sperm sample to the reproductive center.
Performing egg retrieval surgery through the vagina and performing in vitro fertilization on the retrieved eggs.
After egg retrieval surgery, fresh embryo implantation or whole embryo freezing may be decided based on individual circumstances.
(5) Embryo implantation
For fresh embryo implantation, after completing in vitro fertilization of the sperm and egg, the embryo is cultured for 3-5 days before undergoing in vitro fertilization.
If it is for frozen embryo implantation, it is necessary to enter the treatment course on the 2nd to 3rd day of the expected implantation menstrual cycle.
How long does it take to implant the embryo after egg retrieval during the frozen embryo treatment? After evaluation by the physician during the follow-up visit, medication will be used to prepare the endometrium. The embryo implantation time is approximately between the 17th and 21st day of menstruation, and the implantation date is adjusted based on the number of embryo days and the condition of the endometrium.
(6) The critical period of implantation after in vitro implantation and pregnancy testing
Luteinizing hormone support is given after embryo implantation to increase the success rate of in vitro fertilization.
How many days can pregnancy be tested after in vitro implantation? The answer is about 14 days!
The precautions for in vitro fertilization implantation are simple and will be explained in detail at the end of this article.
There are no restrictions on the method of pregnancy testing. For IVF treatment, it is recommended to use the blood sampling index as a criterion for further observation of the doubling of the index. If you are indeed pregnant, don't forget to put prenatal check ups on your schedule!
Some people may experience symptoms such as bed massage and morning sickness after undergoing in vitro fertilization, while others may have no symptoms after undergoing in vitro fertilization.
Some people do not have symptoms of failed IVF induction, while others report it after attempting to conceive. Usually, after experiencing a failed pregnancy, it is only necessary to stop the luteal phase supplement medication and wait for repeated menstruation.
