At the age of 42, with severe intrauterine adhesions after induced abortion in twins, how can Kyrgyzstan become my last hope?

【 Tulip International Reproductive Center · Customer Profile 】

I used to think that the word 'mother' had no connection with my life.

My path to fertility began with ruthless setbacks: natural miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy (ultimately leading to the removal of the left fallopian tube)... When the path to natural pregnancy was completely blocked, in vitro fertilization (IVF) became my only choice.

For the first IVF cycle, I devoted all my energy and anticipation. The joy of learning that the embryo had successfully implanted, even twins, is still fresh in my memory. However, happiness is so short-lived. At 14 weeks, routine prenatal check ups revealed that the fetus had no heartbeat, and I had to undergo mid-term induced abortion.

That induced abortion not only took away two small lives in my abdomen, but also brought me catastrophic sequelae - severe intrauterine adhesions (Asherman syndrome). In the following years, I fell into a cycle of despair: undergoing hysteroscopic adhesion separation surgery, attempting transplantation again after a brief recovery, followed by ruthless "non implantation", and then re examination discovering adhesion recurrence

Every failure is like a blunt knife, repeatedly cutting through my body and mind. I vividly remember the feeling of being completely drained, including economic investment, physical exhaustion, and mental anguish. Deep inside, a voice kept saying, "Forget it, maybe this is fate

A turning point in dire straits: a window to Kyrgyzstan

Just as I was about to give up completely and learn to accept another life without children, by chance, I heard about assisted reproduction in Kyrgyzstan from a friend. The most attractive thing to me is that the law there clearly supports third-party assisted reproduction.

This information, like a faint light, shone into my pitch black despair. For a situation like mine, where the uterus has been determined by doctors to have "functional loss" due to multiple surgical trauma and severe adhesions, and cannot conceive on its own, this undoubtedly provides a new and previously unimaginable possibility.

The next three months will be an intensive period of investigation and verification. My husband and I searched extensively for information and repeatedly consulted with consultants at Tulip International Reproductive Center regarding procedures, legal protections, and success rate data. We even contacted families who had similar experiences through some channels to understand their true experiences. Caution is an instinct ingrained in our bones after countless disappointments.

In the end, after fully evaluating the risks, processes, costs, and most importantly, the solid protection of entrusted parents' rights under Kyrgyz law, we made the decision to give ourselves one last chance.

Hope restarts under precision medicine

The feeling of flying to Bishkek is complex. After a detailed study of all my medical records, the Chinese expert team at Tulip International Reproductive Center developed a highly accurate plan for me.

Core of medical plan:

Individualized ovulation induction: Considering my age of 41 and the impact of multiple surgeries on ovarian function, the doctor developed a mild antagonist regimen for me, with the goal of obtaining better quality eggs rather than quantity.

PGT-A gene testing: This is the top priority of the plan. In order to avoid experiencing fetal arrest caused by chromosomal abnormalities in embryos again, all formed blastocysts must undergo third-generation in vitro fertilization (PGT-A) screening.

In the end, I successfully obtained 10 eggs. This is a far better than expected start.

One month later, news came from the laboratory that 6 blastocysts were successfully cultured from 10 eggs. Subsequently, the PGT-A test report showed that we have 5 healthy embryos with completely normal chromosomes (diploid)! This news, like a warm sunshine, instantly dispelled the haze that had been shrouding our hearts for many years.

The continuation of life thousands of miles away

In the next transplantation stage, a professional team from Tulip International Reproductive Center matched us with a young, healthy, and caring mother who had experienced vaginal delivery.

For the first time, we transplanted an embryo with great hope, but the result was still a heartbreaking 'non implantation'. The familiar sense of loss struck again, but this time, we did not despair. Because we know that having healthy embryos in hand means there is still a chance.

After fine-tuning the plan, we decided to transfer two embryos two months later.

The wait this time was equally long and agonizing. When I heard the news that both embryos had successfully implanted, I cried uncontrollably on the phone.

During the nearly nine months of pregnancy, we regularly received detailed prenatal examination reports and B-ultrasound videos from the local team of Tulip International Reproductive Center. Every time we saw the healthy growth of the two little ones on the screen, it was a comfort to cross mountains and rivers.

Finally, we embarked on our journey to Bishkek once again. This time, the suitcase was filled with small clothes, soft blankets, and bottles - we were going to welcome our daughters.

When the nurse gently placed two tender and healthy little lives into our arms, at that moment, all the hardships, waiting, and hardships vanished into thin air. At the age of 42, after experiencing loss, despair, and almost giving up, we finally became parents of two girls in remote Kyrgyzstan.

I am not writing about this experience to promote any particular choice. But when we almost reached the end of our reproductive journey, it was this country and this institution that opened a window for our lives through legal and professional means.
